Tractor Rules

2011 Farm Stock Rules

1. Stock models must have proof of being stock.
2. Tractors must have stock wheels.
3. Tractors must maintain stock appearance. (No engine modifications)
4. Tractors must have factory bolt-on draw bar and left in factory location. Not to exceed 20 inches. (Pullers responsibility to furnish proof with parts book or operators manual.)
5. Tractors must maintain stock ignition system. (Straight exhaust acceptable.)
6. Tractors may use factory bolt-on wheel weights for make and model or may use water in tires.
7. Hang on weights within the wheelbase of tractor.
8. No custom brackets in wheels.
9. All Farm Stock must use clevis or flat plate mounted firmly to the draw bar not to exceed 20 inches high with 3 inch diameter hook hole.
10. Low gear pulling only.
11. No shifting of T.A.
12. Super Antique Tractors are not allowed to pull in the Farm Stock Class. Farm Stock Tractors may pull in any class in which they can qualify.
13. No removal of parts on the Farm Stock tractors will be allowed. Examples include: Battery, starter, and/or air cleaners, etc. If the power take-off or hydraulic system pulleys are removed they must have a steel cover in place; provided a cover was offered by the factor. The only exception to this will be factory wheel weights.
14. Definition of a Farm Stock tractor: A stock unaltered Farm Stock tractor pulling from a factory draw bar in low gear only. Farm type tires and wheels to the manufactures specifications.
15. Rear tires are limited to Farm Tractor type. No radial or cut tires.
16. If a part falls off while hooked to the sled, the puller will be disqualified.
17. Engine high idle RPM (No load) within 10% factory specs. Must have working governor, no direct throttles will be allowed.
18. Puller is responsible to provide proof of tractor eligibility.
19. Classes: 3000 3500 4500 5500 6500 7500 8500 9500 10500

2010 Super Antique Rules

1. Safety rules apply to all tractors, classes, and persons.
2. Drawbar maximum height of 20 inches to hook point.
3. Length of drawbar 18 inches minimum from center of wheel to hook point.
4. Tractors equipped with removable clevis or pull ring.
5. Factory fuels only. No alcohol, nitrous oxide, additives to diesel, etc.
6. Factory RPM must be within 30%, checked with hand tachometer with hand throttle full open.
7. Must have working brakes.
8. Must have working governors – no manual or override.
9. Recommended – engine kill switch within reach of driver.
10. Mandatory Wheelie Bars and Kill Switch per F.A.T.C. Inc. specs
11. Weight racks will be permissible:
1. Weights not to extend more than 11 feet from center of rear axle.
2. Weights not to extend past the rear tire to the rear.
3. All weights must be secured to weight rack.
4. All weight racks to be stationary.
12. First and second gear pulling only.
13. Shifting T.A.’s permitted.
14. No steel wheels or radial tires.
15. No dual wheels.
16. Disputes to be settled by equipment tech committee.
17. Maximum tire size 24.5.
18. All tractors must cross scales before and after they pull.
19. It is the pullers responsibility to provide proof of tractors eligibility.
20. Classes: 3000 3500 4500 5500 6500 7500 8500 9500 10500
21. Diesel must have air intake flapper.

Open Gear Rules

1. Safety rules apply to all tractors, classes, and persons.
2. Safe RPM’s
3. All tire sizes allowed up to 24.5.
4. Tires can be cut.
5. Draw bar maximum height of 20 inches to hook point.
6. Draw bar can be fixed in any direction. (No floating draw bars.)
7. Length of draw bar is 18 inches maximum from the center of the wheel to the hook point.
8. Open Gear tractors must have closed ring hitch – 3 inches or more inner diameter and tractor must not obstruct chain or clevis.
9. Factory fuels only: Kerosene, Diesel, Propane, Gasoline, CAM 2. Nothing injected.
10. Must have working brakes.
11. No Engine driven fans allowed over 3,000 RPM’s
12. MANDATORY THAT ALL TRACTORS HAVE WHEELIE BARS PER F.A.T.C. INC. SPECS AND A KILL SWITCH.
13. Tractor must have original frame, original stock motor mounts, and the same cylinder motor as the original.
14. Pull in 2nd or higher. No 1st Gear Pulling.
15. Weight racks will be allowed:
1. Weights not to extend more than 11 feet from center of rear axle to the front.
2. Weights not to extend past the rear tire to the rear.
3. All weights must be secured to weight rack.
4. All weight racks to be stationary.
16. Classes: 3500 4500 5500 6500 7500 8500 9500 10500
17. It is the pullers responsibility to provide proof of tractors eligibility.
18. NO ONE IN FRONT OF SLED DURING THIS CLASS.
19. Must have a roll bar, seat belt, high back seat, and helmet for tractors running over 10 mph.

Turbo Rules

1. Safety rules apply to all tractors, classes, and persons.
2. Maximum tire size 24.5 x 32.
3. All Turbos must be shielded with 1/8 inch Aluminum or 1/16 inch steel. 3/8 inch cable around the motor.
4. Must have a closed ring hitch of 3 inches or more inner diameter. Tractor must not obstruct chain or clevis.
5. Fuels: Diesel, Gasoline, and Propane allowed.
6. All Turbo tractors must have the exhaust either straight up or straight down.
7. Turbo tractor RPMs:
1. 4500 thru 6500 – Maximum 4000 RPMs
2. 7500 thru 10500 – Maximum 3500 RPMs
8. Low pressure water injection only. IF YOU CAN LIGHT IT WITH A MATCH. YOU CANNOT USE IT.
9. Draw bar maximum height 20 inches to hook point.
10. The length of draw bar is 18 inches maximum from center of the wheel to hook point.
11. Draw bar to be fixed in all directions. (No floating draw bars.)
12. Mandatory all tractors have two wheelie bars, a kill switch, rolls bars and seat belts or high back seat.
13. Tractor must have original frame, engine block, transmission, and rear axle.
14. Pull in gear of choice.
15. Weight racks will be allowed:
1. Front weights not to extend more than 11 feet from center of rear axle.
2. Rear weights not to exceed part rear tire.
16. Classes: 4500 5500 6500 7500 8500 9500 10500
17. It is the pullers responsibility to provide proof of tractors eligibility.
18. NO ONE IN FRONT OF SLED DURING THIS CLASS.
19. Flywheels must be shielded with a minimum of ¼ inch steel plate or the equivalent. Applies to 4500 thru 6500 classes.

Modified Turbo/Super Farm

1. Must comply with NTPA/PPL Rules

V-8 Car Motor Rules

1. Safety rules apply to all tractors, classes, and persons.
2. All Tractors must have a kill switch and up to date fire extinguisher on the right rear fender.
3. Must have a roll bar, seat belt, high back seat, and helmet.
4. Must have fenders to keep driver off tires.
5. Must have full sheet metal to depict scope of an antique tractor.
6. Total length not to exceed 11 feet from center of rear axle to furthest point forward.
7. Engine to mount no more than 80 inches from the centerline of the rear axle to the centerline of the engine.
8. 18.4 x 38 tires only on up to 20 inch rims.
9. Speed limit for this class is 14 mph.
10. No Alcohol, Gas only.
11. Safe RPM’s
12. No engine driven fans allowed over 3,000 RPM’s
13. Naturally aspirated, one carburetor only engine.
14. Must have proper shielding of clutches and automatic transmissions, SCI approved blankets, steel plates, cast iron housing etc. To contain a failure of these parts.
